Meade Design Group - The Blog

As seen in SNAP â€" April 2013

Often I believe that the associations with the term “Art” are as well robust and misunderstood. Art does not only belong in museums, community properties or town landscapes. Artwork also belongs in your residence, your bedroom, your toilet, and your garden.

Lately although here doing work on a undertaking with a customer in some component of the process I mentioned that we needed to think about some art items for the focal point of the space and other partitions. My client seemed hesitant " But I can not pay for art in my place, art is so high-priced! " Effectively I mentioned. "Artwork doesn’t require to be expensive It only requirements to communicate to you and your surroundings".

You can uncover truly exciting items even in 2nd hand stores. When you carry artwork to a residing environment you deliver fascination and a much more innovative come to feel. Artwork impacts room in a very personal way. One's artwork selections can reflect one's mood, vibrancy, society, and even one's perception of humour in some instances. Art is for me a "stamp in your letter" (Spanish declaring) or the icing on the cake for you Canadian folks.

I have often been fortunate to be surrounded by artwork. I always considered that having artwork in your home was as frequent as getting a dish washer or an iron. But this imagined started out shifting when I realized that people typically get intimidated by the term and by the artwork by itself. Art can be located in so many methods â€" Paintings, Sketches, Photos, Etchings, Sculptures, Masks, Object d’Art, or even an item of nostalgic price. Artwork can be costly â€" sure! , but also art can be inexpensive a easy framed serviette with a sketch on it can be art in by itself. I would like I could have a sketch by Frank Gehry for case in point. Why not frame the most recent cover of Rolling Stone Magazine or a black and white photograph from a Magazine - Art can be social and art can be political, but the most essential issue is that art can be everywhere you are - just require to find it and make it yours.
